Xiaomi users have received a critical security alert from the Government of India. The latest issue can easily target Xiaomi devices and the ecosystem. The risk is connected with the Mi Connect Service application and the warning has been officially published by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). As per the warning, not only phones but also devices like TVs and laptops from the brand could be affected by the same. Xiaomi App Security Flaw Details That You Should Have A Look At The government notification was published originally on July 1, 2025. It says that a vulnerability has been identified in the Xiaomi Mi Connect Service application that can be exploited by the attackers to get unauthorized access to the device of the victim and dodge all the security restrictions on the targeted system. In the alert, it has been reported that the issue prevails due to a hiccup in the verification logic that can be bypassed. This poses a risk to all the Xiaomi devices that have the app installed. Steps To Stay Safe From The Same All Xiaomi users need to check if their Xiaomi device has the Mi Connect App 3.1.895.10 or older version and update it as soon as possible. Until now, it has not been revealed if any of the Xiaomi users have been affected by the issue or not. The alert in conclusion says that the flaw poses a risk to the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the impacted devices. Without a doubt, this comes as a major setback for Xiaomi.
