Whisky Hammer opens new European base

Whisky Hammer is opening its first operational base in mainland Europe.

The new location in Alphen aan den Rijn, South Holland, is part of plans to grow the whisky auctioneer’s European customer base.

Founded in 2015 in rural Aberdeenshire by brothers Craig and Daniel Milne, the business runs monthly online auctions featuring rare and collectible bottles.

Whisky Hammer is now actively recruiting a general manager and Dutch team to lead operations at the new Dutch entity, which is expected to begin operating during the third quarter.

Chief executive Daniel Milne said: 鈥淎s we celebrate a decade in business, we are incredibly grateful to our team and our loyal customers who have supported us every step of the way.

鈥淥ur European customers are an integral part of the Whisky Hammer community, so launching our Dutch base means we can offer a smoother, more accessible service to our current clients 鈥 and welcome many new ones as well.鈥
