Where can you find Glasgow鈥檚 Superman murals ahead of new movie release?

Glasgow has joined several cities in unveiling murals dedicated to Superman ahead of a new movie being released next month.

James Gunn鈥檚 Superman premieres in UK cinemas on July 11, with nine murals across the UK allowing fans to step into the character鈥檚 iconic red boots.

The film stars David Corenswet in the dual role of Superman and Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.

With his cape billowing behind, the interactive artwork offers a 鈥渙ne-of-a-kind鈥 superhero photo opportunity in two locations in Glasgow.

They have been installed at The Boat Shed in Queens Park and The Nancy Smillie Shop in Cresswell Lane in the West End.

Each mural has a unique QR code that visitors can scan to win an exclusive private screening of the film.

The murals in Glasgow were completed by local artists Mark Roe, Abraham Osario, and Barry Jenkins.

John Turner, chair of the Byres Road & Lanes Business Improvement District, said: 鈥淛ust like the Man of Steel, Glasgow鈥檚 strength is in its kindness and fairness to all, something my family can verify having moved to the city around 15 years ago.

鈥淎t the heart of Glasgow鈥檚 West End is its diversity, independence, and sense of community and caring for others. I can think of several people who deserve to wear the famous red cape.

鈥淲e are very excited to be hosting it in the West End.鈥

Jonny McDonald, Shawlands BID Chairperson, said: 鈥淕lasgow has a fierce sense of identity, and Superman鈥檚 values of strength and fairness resonate deeply here.

鈥淭he BID were delighted to help bring this bold, creative expression of heroism to our communities.鈥
