Shaboozey, who is known for combining hip-hop, country and Americana styles into his music, will take to Glastonbury this week for his debut performance at the festival. The American singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer has based his stage name upon the mispronunciation of his surname by his high school football coach in his real name – Collins Obinna Chibueze. Shaboozey began to achieve acclaim after the release of his first two albums – Lady Wrangler in 2018 and Cowboys Live Forever in 2022 – before then featuring on the hit Beyonc茅 album Cowboy Carter last year. Since he has achieved success with his third album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, released last year in 2024. Throughout his career he has already received five Grammy Award nominations, also winning three Billboard Music Awards, two People’s Choice Country Awards and an IHeartRadio Music Award. This weekend marks Shaboozey’s first performance at Glastonbury, in which he will take to the Other Stage. He is playing on Sunday, June 29. The set will start at 1.45pm and will last for one hour and 15 minutes, finishing at 2.30pm, according to the Glastonbury website.
