Maribou State will return to Worthy Farm this evening for their second appearance at Glastonbury with a headline set packed full of their infectious, soulful sound. The Hertfordshire duo, comprised of former classmates Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, are known for their genre-fluid music that blends UK club, vintage soul, and global influences. They’ve established themselves as a prominent force in the global dance music scene, recognized for their captivating live performances and critically acclaimed albums. Their music is characterized by lush textures, hypnotic rhythms, and emotive vocals, often described as redefining downtempo electronica. Their debut album, recorded in a garden shed and released in 2015, featured the popular single Feel Good with Texan’s Khruangbin. The track turned heads across the music industry, and their most recent album – Hallucinating Love – is described as a heartfelt ode to resilience and unity, showcasing their evolving sound. The pair regularly collaborate with London-based vocalist Holly Walker, and she is expected to join them on stage for some of tonight’s set.
