Glastonbury Festival is back for another year as thousands of fans descend on Worthy Farm for three days of iconic music. Some 200,000 music lovers are set to attend the annual festival in Somerset as more than 3,000 acts are set to perform across 100 stages and venues. Artists appearing on the bill for the 2025 festival include Olivia Rodrigo, The 1975, Rod Stewart, RAYE, Lola Young, Gracie Abrams, Charli XCX, The Script, Scissor Sisters and many more. Although gates opened for festival goers on Wednesday, June 25, the official line up begins today, June 27, as English rock band Supergrass opens up the Pyramid Stage at 12pm, and Fabio & Grooverider and the Outlook Orchestra kicks off events over at the Other Stage at 11:30am. Loyle Carner will perform the closing set on the Other Stage today. The musician is returning to the festival ten years after he first performed on the BBC Introducing Stage. The 30-year-old English hip-hop musician is known for hits including ‘Florence’, ‘Ain’t Nothing Changed’ and ‘Loose Ends’. Carner released his debut album in 2017, which he followed up with two more studio albums that both reached number three in the UK charts. This year, he has released his fourth album, entitled ‘Hopefully!’, which is inspired by his love of indie and alternative music and explores themes of fatherhood and childhood. The rapper last appeared at Glastonbury in 2023, when he headlined the West Holt Stage. But this year he will be closing Glastonbury’s second largest stage, the Other Stage. He told Billboard that taking on the slot felt like an “amazing, monumental part of my career”. He will be taking to the stage after Busta Ryhmes, who is playing from 8.30pm until 9.30pm. Loyle Carner had taken a break from performing live ahead of the release of his new album so Glastonbury will be among the first of his shows this summer. Fans will likely be treated to a handful of songs from his new release but they’ll be hoping for some of his previous big hits too.
