Charli XCX will be bringing Brat summer to Glastonbury tonight when she headlines the Other Stage. The popstar’s sixth studio album, featuring hits including Von Dutch, 365 and Apple, took the world by storm last year winning several awards and being named album of the year by Billboard and Rolling Stone. After soaring to the top of the charts, Brat became a cultural movement with the word taking on new meaning and bright neon green becoming the colour of the moment. The trend became so huge that Brat was named the 2024 Collins Word Of The Year, redefined as “characterised by a confident, independent and hedonistic attitude”. At her recent shows, Charli has been teasing that Brat summer is ‘forever’. She asked the crowd at LIDO festival in London earlier this month: “Is this like a Brat Summer again or should I put a bullet in it?” On leaving the stage, messages flashed up on the big screen, saying: “I don鈥檛 know who I am if it鈥檚 over. So I have decided. I want this to last forever. It wasn鈥檛 just a summer thing. It鈥檚 a forever thing. Please don鈥檛 let it be over.” As her Brat summer continues for a second year, Charli’s headline performance at Glastonbury, held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, will mark a huge moment for the star, who has made several smaller appearances at the festival previously. Charli played a DJ set at Glastonbury in 2024 in the festival’s dance area, but this year she is back to headline the festival’s second-biggest stage. Here’s what you need to know about Charli XCX’s set, including the start time, who might join her, the songs to expect and more. Charli XCX will be the second headliner to take to Glastonbury’s second stage, the Other Stage, this year. She is playing on Saturday night, June 28. Her set will start at 10.30pm and last for one hour and fifteen minutes, finishing at 11.45pm, according to the Glastonbury website. Deftones will open for Charli XCX on the Other Stage, between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Highlights from the five main stages will be shown on the BBC iPlayer, as well as on BBC One and Two at various points over the weekend. According to the latest TV listings, Charli XCX’s set will be broadcast live from 10.30pm on BBC One on Saturday, June 28. Throughout the weekend, fans will be able to watch continuous live streams from the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Park and Woodsies stages. It’s not uncommon for Glastonbury headliners to bring out secret guests to make their performance that extra bit special. Some choose to invite artists that they’ve previously collaborated with to join them on stage. Others use the opportunity to team up with someone else on the line up they wouldn’t usually share a stage with. And sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason whatsoever! Some of the surprise guests to appear during headline sets in recent years include Michael J Fox joining Coldplay for Fix You, and Paul McCartney teaming up with Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen. Charli XCX brought out a number of special guests during her Brat tour, many of whom collaborated with her on the Brat remix album. In London, Caroline Polachek performed two tracks with Charli, while Robyn and Yung Lean also joined her on stage for part of the show. She also invited Billie Eilish – a former Glastonbury headliner – Troy Sivan and Lorde, all of who featured on the album, on stage with her to perform songs during the US leg of the tour. Lorde also joined Charli on stage at Coachella earlier this year. The Solar Power singer, who last appeared at Glastonbury in 2022, has been heavily hinting that she hopes she’ll be able to perform at this year’s festival, so could another guest appearance with Charli be on the cards? Two of her Brat collaborators also feature on the Glastonbury line up this year. Shygirl, who will be playing the Glade, appeared on the remix of 365, while Pyramid headliners The 1975, who perform the night before Charli, collaborated with her on I Might Say Something Stupid. Charli also recently made a surprise appearance on stage with Dua Lipa, who was Glastonbury’s Friday Pyramid headline last year, on her second night at Wembley Stadium in London. Charli XCX has already played a series of festivals this summer, including a headline set at Manchester’s Parklife festival on June 15. She played 17 songs, mostly from the Brat album. The setlist has been shared on Setlist.fm. When Charli XCX is on the Other Stage – 10.30pm to 11.45pm – the other four main stages will host
