THE peak body representing irrigators and irrigation communities in New South Wales says water prices for 2025-26 have “added to the cost squeeze on farmers”.

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal announced its final determination late last week to increase rural water bills by up to 8.3 per cent in most valleys for the next financial year.
