A wedding video has captured a bride ‘slam dunking’ her husband into a table at their reception, leaving guests in shock and racking up over 30,000 views. Thankfully, Andrea Murphy wasn’t actually brawling with her lifelong partner Anthony Diver, who emerged from the wreckage of the table unscathed 鈥 it was all part of a WWE wrestling stunt designed to give the couple an unforgettable entrance. In the footage, Andrea makes her way into the room solo, with Anthony trailing a few minutes behind. The bride then seizes her groom and hurls him onto a table, which collapses upon impact. Dubliner Andrea and Donegal native Anthony have been a pair for 22 years and share three children, but their wedding plans were put on hold by life’s interruptions until they tied the knot on Saturday, June 21. “It was all a bit mad,” admitted Andrea, reports the Irish Mirror . “Anthony came up with the idea because we both wanted something different as an entrance and something we’ve never seen before as guests. “Anthony has always been a fan of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) and his favourites are The Undertaker and Triple H. We had no training doing this and didn’t know if it would work or not but it did thankfully. “The only people who knew about it were the staff at the Newgrange Hotel in Navan, Co. Meath, myself and Anthony and the best man. “We are together 22 years and have three children who are now 20, 18 and 12. Life just got in the way of everything when it came to getting married but we decided this is our time, our turn. “It was funny because when I entered the room on my own, I heard guests whispering to each other about where Anthony was and why he wasn’t by my side in entering. They soon found out!”. Dundalk’s own videography wizard, Gerry Duffy from Co Louth, expressed his amazement, having never encountered such a scene in his 46-year career shooting wedding videos. “They were a fabulous couple to work with and we did not expect this as an entrance, but Anthony explained that he was introduced to WWE by his late uncle and has been fanatical about it ever since. “I have personally filmed over 2,000 wedding videos in the past 46 years and have been awarded Best Wedding Videographer in Ireland for five years in a row but I have never witnessed such craic at a wedding in my life and the reaction they got from the guests was amazing. “The couple asked me to post an edited clip on social media and it has been viewed over 30,000 times so far.”
