It didn’t have the same oomph on the scoreboard compared to their last two games against the Force and Queensland Reds, but Andy Farrell’s side have ran out winners in Sydney tonight. Huw Jones was impressive once again with two tries on the night, while Sione Tuipulotu and Mack Hansen got through a mountain for work. Alex Mitchell was equally industrious around the fringes of the rucks. The Saints’ scrum-half has been awarded man of the match. As for the Waratahs who finished eighth in the Super Rugby season, they put on a show to galvanize their fans! Tonight’s captain Hugh Sinclair got a send off he wanted, while Charlie Gamble gave an inspiring performance from openside flanker.
