Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma鈥檚 Rs 32 Crore Alibaug Villa Is All About Quiet Luxury

Intending to unwind away from the Mumbai spotlight, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma鈥檚 Alibaug retreat is more than just a weekend home. It鈥檚 a sanctuary of style, serenity, and smart design.
Tucked in Alibaug鈥檚 most coveted beachside stretch that is favoured by A-listers like Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli鈥檚 Rs 32 crore villa is a striking example of slow luxury and nature-inspired minimalism. Designed by the renowned South African firm SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) and helmed by Phillippe Fouch茅, the property is built across a 10,000-square-foot plot with a layout that breathes in light, space, and quiet opulence.

A Blend Of California And The Konkan
The home blends California coastal charm with Konkan-inspired warmth 鈥 a balance achieved through thoughtful use of natural materials like Turkish limestone, pink onyx, travertine, and exotic Italian marble. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom layout is anchored by a double-height cutout ceiling that lets sunlight pour into the living room. 鈥淭he more light鈥 the better its energy,鈥 Virat told Architectural Digest, speaking about the calming effect of the home鈥檚 architecture.

Their lush garden is filled with native flora and indoor plants, mirroring the couple鈥檚 love for greenery. There鈥檚 a porch by the pool, a jacuzzi, a custom-built kitchen, and a dining nook in the garden 鈥 Virat鈥檚 favourite spot. 鈥淗ere, I wake up, chill out, have lemon water, a cup of coffee, ease into it, and start afresh,鈥 he shared in the same interview.

Acquired in 2022 for around Rs 19 crore, with an additional Rs 10.5鈥13 crore invested in construction, the villa now carries a value of approximately Rs 32 crore. Built over 8 acres, the space is intentionally under-planned 鈥 a choice that aligns with the couple鈥檚 need to 鈥渏ust be鈥 and disconnect.
When not in Alibaug, the couple splits time between their Rs 34 crore Mumbai apartment and Virat鈥檚 Rs 80 crore Gurgaon bungalow. Now reportedly residing in London鈥檚 Notting Hill with their children Vamika and Akaay, the family is leaning into privacy, nature, and slower living.
