Kalaburagi: In a disturbing case that has stunned the residents of Kalaburagi, ten people have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in a triple murder that occurred on the city鈥檚 outskirts earlier this week. Authorities are continuing their search for two additional suspects believed to be part of the conspiracy.
Those arrested include Eranna, Rachanna, Nagraj (son of Shivaputra), Beeranna, Siddu, Chandrakanth, Peeresh, Sagar, Nagraj (son of Shashidhar), and Bhagyashree. According to Kalaburagi City Police Commissioner Sharanappa S D, all the accused are closely linked and were well-acquainted with each other.
The killings are believed to be acts of revenge, allegedly orchestrated by the group in retaliation for the murder of Somu, a known rowdy sheeter who was killed in November last year. Two of the three men murdered this week were suspects in Somu鈥檚 death. One of them, Siddharudh, was reportedly the prime accused in the case.
Of particular significance is Bhagyashree, wife of the slain Somu. While she was not physically present at the scene, police have identified her as a key conspirator in the murders. Investigators are now probing whether additional individuals aided the group or played indirect roles in the crime.
The shocking incident has triggered heightened security measures and intensified community concerns in the region as police continue their probe.
