President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of elder statesman, celebrated business titan, and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who died in the early hours of Saturday at 94.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Dantata鈥檚 passing as 鈥渁 monumental national loss,鈥 extolling the late nonagenarian鈥檚 towering legacy in both business and public service.

鈥淎lhaji Dantata will be remembered for his industry, diligence, steadfastness, and great commitment to national unity through his many business ventures and philanthropic activities that touched countless lives of Nigerians,鈥 Tinubu said.

Widely regarded as one of Nigeria鈥檚 most accomplished businessmen, Dantata鈥檚 entrepreneurial journey spanned several decades and sectors, with a reputation for excellence, integrity, and vision.

He was also a former Commissioner for Planning and Development in the old Kano State, bringing his expertise and leadership to bear in public service.

Tinubu hailed Dantata鈥檚 philanthropic contributions, especially in education and healthcare, noting that his life of service to humanity left a profound impact on communities across the country.
