Tinubu Mocks Coalition Planners, Calls Them 'Political IDPs'

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today taunted politicians behind a proposed political coalition aimed at stopping his re-election bid in 2027.

During his visit to commission some projects in Nasarawa state, President Tinubu referred to the coalition proposers as political 鈥渋nternally displaced persons.鈥

Speaking about the alleged opposition force coalition that includes former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, President Tinubu criticised the alliance as an immature and foolish political ploy.

鈥淭hose who have triggered the early politics in the perdition of coalition suddenly. Don鈥檛 pay them any attention; they are the political IDPs. Don鈥檛 give them a home; the hope is here鈥 the President said

He made it plain that he would not remain silent as opponents planned to overthrow him.

鈥淚鈥檓 not geared for what they tried to pull on me. Early political campaign but who is the politician who will keep quiet when the gangsters are forming a coalition to unseat themselves.鈥

Tinubu insisted that his administration has achieved great strides despite persistent economic difficulties.

鈥淲e鈥檝e cut the waste. I won鈥檛 say much on the economic dynamism that we鈥檙e facing, but the hope is here. From this moment on, you鈥檒l have no regret,鈥 he said.
