Three people have died and a fourth is fighting for life in hospital following a horror two-car crash.
The crash happened near Bolinda, about 55km north of Melbourne, on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Bolinda-Darraweit Road about 7.20am.
鈥淭hree people from one of the vehicles, who have yet to be formally identified, died at the scene,鈥 the police said on Sunday.
鈥淭he fourth occupant from that car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.鈥
Paramedics took the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle with non life-threatening injuries.
鈥淭he exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,鈥 the police said.
