After 16 years of estrangement, the Gallagher brothers have put on a ‘biblical’ Oasis reunion show, fans declare.
It’s taken blood, sweat, and tears; a ticket-buying blood bath; and a several-month agonising wait, but Noel, 58, and Liam, 52 finally took to the stage together at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for the first show in their highly-anticipated reunion tour.
The verdict? It was well worth the wait.
Tens of thousands gathered to hear the Britpop rockers sing the tunes that defined an era with hits like Cigarettes & Alcohol, Supersonic, Slide Away, Champagne Supernova and, of course, Wonderwall all on the night’s setlist.
The night was peppered with meaningful moments, including a tribute to the late Liverpool star Diogo Jota and a powerful moment when the pair grabbed one another’s hands and raised them in the air – a far cry from the frosty relationship they’ve fostered over the years.
At one point, The Verve’s Richard Ashcroft, who is supporting Oasis, told the cheering crowds he is ‘so proud to be here on this historic night with the greatest rock n roll band’.

During another, Liam poked fun at the ticket price scandal, joking: ‘Is it worth the £4,000 you paid for a ticket?’ to raucous applause.
All this to say, fans who attended the concert have nothing but praise for the performance.
‘It’s the best they’ve sounded since 1995. No vocal issues, wall of sound. If you’re seeing them in the future, you’re in for a treat! Cast and Richard Ashcroft on top form also,’ Reddit user puzzled_background wrote.
‘It was unbelievable,’ accomplished_unit853 shared.
‘Was up in the seats but was incredible. Everything I hoped it would be,’ mk674 declared.

Over on X, Tyler Birtles said: ‘Oasis are BACK. An incredible evening. Biblical. The best night of my life so far.’
‘As good as I’ve ever seen them tonight,’ John Dawkins agreed.
‘Timeless. Absolutely incredible. You HAVE to go see them. Oasis are BACK,’ ellis platten added.

Baggy Mondays reassured those who are out of pocket from securing a ticket that it was worth every penny.
‘I’ve been to a lot of Oasis shows over the years and honestly don’t remember a better one than this. If you managed to buy a ticket – for however much – you did the right thing. You’re in for a proper TREAT. What a night,’ the user wrote.

‘Jesus Christ, Oasis just blew the doubters, and my own expectations, away. I’ve seen a lot of good gigs in my time but that was up there!

‘Best night of my life. Best band ever. So many things I could say, but most importantly, Oasis are back and better than ever,’ Ryan Capperauld posted.
The widespread praise from the fanbase has been heartily echoed by critics as well.
Oasis superfan wants to be front row so Liam Gallagher sees tattoo of his face
John Smallbones, 50, has been to 40 gigs by the Manchester icons and spent £14,500 on memorabilia over the years.
This time around he’s determined to meet Liam and tell him he’s not ‘just a random fan’ after getting the frontman’s face tattooed on his back.
The superfan from Andover, Hampshire, will be staying the night in his Oasis-themed van to nab a spot at the front of the gig on July 26.
Held on the Saturday, John plans to not look back in anger but look forward to that weekend.

The Telegraph’s five-star review called the duo ‘ridiculous, fantastic… and back where they belong’ while The Guardian hailed it ‘a triumph in the bag’.
‘I have seen Oasis many, many times and this was the best they’ve been since 1995,’ the BBC said.
After a glowing start, the sold-out tour will continue over the summer across the UK and Ireland, hitting Manchester, London (for seven Wembley Stadium dates), Edinburgh and Dublin.
The brothers then go international, travelling across Canada, the US, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and Argentina before ending in Brazil in November.
The shock truce has proven a lucrative move, with reports that the Don’t Look Back in Anger hitmakers will take home more than £50million each during the tour.
