The Batman Part II: Matt Reeves Drops MAJOR Update About Robert Pattinson Sequel, And It Has A Robin Connection

DC fans, rejoice! Things seem to be gaining momentum for The Batman: Part II. Writer-director Matt Reeves has confirmed the script for the highly-awaited Robert Pattinson starrer is complete. The news comes after rumours around its indefinite delaye and the sequel being in a limbo for a long time. This comes more than 3 years after Pattinson debuted as the Dark Knight in his standalone franchise, The Batman (2022). Reeves confirmed the development through an Instagram post on June 27. Though Matt’s version of the superhero is not part of the DCU, it hasn’t lowered the excitement about its part 2 any bit. The Batman: Part II is on track Matt shared a photo of the completed script with him and co-writer Mattson Tomlin in the blur background. The pic showed the script with Batman logo on the cover and a fuzzy title reading: The Batman: Part II. Matt captioned the post, “Partners in Crime (Fighters).” His text has a direct reference to the character of Robin who did not appear in the first film. The Batman 2 delay The Batman, which released in 2022 starred Robert Pattinson as the titular Cape Crusader, along with Zo毛 Kravitz as Catwoman and Paul Dano as The Riddler. The Batman 2 was announced in the same year and was set to release in 2026 but the production got delayed due to 2023 Hollywood strikes. The update about The Batman comes weeks before James Gunn’s Superman makes his DC Universe debut. Gunn had recently addressed the script delay of The Batman: Part II that had left DC fans upset. He said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “Listen, we鈥檙e supposed to get a script in June. I hope that happens. We feel really good about it. People should get off Matt鈥檚 nuts because it鈥檚 like, let the guy write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it. That鈥檚 just the way it is. He doesn鈥檛 owe you something because you like his movie. I mean, you like his movie because of Matt.
