Suzuki has revealed two stylish middleweight motorcycles 鈥 the GSX-8T and the GSX-8TT.
Based on the same platform as the GSX-8S, these newcomers pay homage to the brand鈥檚 rich motorcycling heritage.
The GSX-8T draws inspiration from the iconic 1960s T500 鈥淭itan鈥, featuring a round LED headlamp, wide handlebars, and bar-end mirrors that scream vintage cool.
The GSX-8TT, on the other hand, gets a sportier look with a classic race-style headlight cowl and a retro-inspired colour scheme echoing Suzuki鈥檚 1970s racing liveries.
Performance
Both bikes are powered by a 776cc parallel-twin engine 鈥 the same proven unit from the GSX-8S, GSX-8R and V-Strom 800. With 83bhp and 78Nm of torque, the motor packs a strong mid-range punch thanks to its 270-degree crank, while the distinctive exhaust note adds character to every twist of the throttle.
A six-speed gearbox and bi-directional quickshifter come as standard, making gear changes smooth and sporty.
Underpinnings
Under the retro skins lies a modern setup 鈥 a steel frame with aluminium swingarm, USD front forks, and a rear monoshock. Both bikes ride on 17-inch alloy wheels with road-focused tyres. In terms of weight, the 8T comes in at 201kg, while the slightly sportier 8TT weighs 203kg.
Despite their old-school aesthetics, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are loaded with modern features:
Three ride modes
Traction control
All-LED lighting
Quickshifter
India Launch?
While there鈥檚 no confirmation about an India launch yet, Suzuki already offers the V-Strom 800DE and GSX-8S here. This increases the chances that the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT could arrive as special editions for riders who want a taste of the past with today鈥檚 technology.
