Summer Games Done Quick 2025: Watch Day 1 here

The Fourth of July may be over, but the fireworks are about to continue. It’s that time of the summer again for the return of Summer Games Done Quick. This year’s SGDQ is ushering in the summer season right, bringing the world’s top speedrunners together for a whirlwind tour across some of the biggest games of the past and present. As is the case every year, they’ll be performing their craft for charity in front of a worldwide audience on Twitch.

Summer Games Done Quick 2025 has returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota for a whole week of live speedrunning action. This year’s event is raising money for Doctors Without Borders. Shacknews will be watching all week and we’ll make sure to bring you the daily schedule each day. Plus, we’ll be sure to highlight the biggest runs worth watching.

Summer Games Done Quick 2025: Day 1 schedule

Here’s the full schedule for Day 1, taken from the Games Done Quick website, along with a handful of runs to check out. Times are subject to change depending on the actual completed runtimes, as well as other scheduling circumstances:

2:16PM – Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

It’s been a little over six months since Indiana Jones came to Xbox and PC (a few weeks since he came to PS5) and now it’s time for his journey to find the Great Circle to come to the speedrunning stage. BloodThunder will look to finish this game in a little under 90 minutes in this run that will undoubtedly belong in a museum.

4:20PM – Avowed

Obsidian Entertainment’s best RPGs have found their way into GDQ events in various years. This will mark the official debut of Avowed, just under six months since it first released in February. Given the variety of classes and where conversation trees can go, it should be enlightening to see just how this game gets completed in under an hour.

5:28PM – Beat Saber

The rhythm portions of GDQ don’t usually begin until later in the week, but Kungfufruitcup is treating everybody to Beat Saber for this first day of SGDQ. She’s been playing Beat Saber for many years and is ready to grace the audience with an Expert+ showcase. Get on the dance floor and let the rhythm flow through you.

Summer Games Done Quick 2025 will take place from now through Saturday, July 12. For more, check out the Games Done Quick website and be sure to come back all week to Shacknews for more on this week’s marathon.
