Governor for Enga Sir Peter Ipatas said stable leadership paves way for tangible government service delivery.
Mr Ipatas said this during the opening of the Kopen National School of Excellence last week Friday.
鈥淒evelopments doesn鈥檛 happen over night. It takes ample time for impact developments to reach people,鈥 he said.
Mr Ipatas spoke from the great experience that he has to provide long time leadership for the province.
He said just because of his stable leadership, he had delivered much impact developments in the province.
鈥淵ou people of Enga are fortunate to host big government facilities and inistutions like the Multi million kina Hospital ,the Enga Teachers and Nursing College and the Innovative University of Enga. These developments that you have didn鈥檛 happened over night but it took time to sprout,鈥 he said.
Mr Ipatas urged people not to believe in cash hand out mentality.
鈥淵ou people have to always embrace leadership that is workable and delivering,鈥 he said.
Mr Ipatas said he provides free leadership. 鈥淭hat means I will never give you money. There is no point for me to give you money. My vision and plan is to deliver developments that will go in a long way to benefit our kids. That is a kind of leadership that I have,鈥 he told the people.
Meanwhile, he urged those involved in trouble fight to stop and embrace what his government is delivering. 鈥淢y message is clear that I don鈥檛 want people to fight. But if you want to do so then it鈥檚 up to you. Go ahead and kill each other,鈥 he said.
Mr Ipatas said he will not listen and artend to those people who tend to instigate trouble fight.
He said trouble fight do occur in the province but it is confined and manageable in certain places.
Mr Ipatas said those ill practices instigated by few tribesmen will never affect nor deter what he is trying to deliver or has already delivered for the people in the province.
