To be eligible, people generally need to have a condition ‘severe enough’ to have care or supervision from another person, and will have been receiving that assistance for ‘at least six months’, Express reports . There are over a million Brits who could claim the extra cash but don’t receive it. Claimants could receive 拢73.90 a week for help during the day or at night, or 拢110.40 if you need assistance both day and night, or if you are terminally ill. The benefit is paid out every four weeks, resulting in either 拢295.60 or 拢441.60 entering accounts each time. Attendance Allowance is not means-tested, so someone’s income or savings do not affect eligibility.
