Sonakshi Sinha Slams Paparazzi Culture Of Clicking Pics At Funerals: ‘Very Bizarre’

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha recently criticised the paparazzi culture, highlighting how intrusive it has become, making it impossible to even attend a funeral without being photographed. She described this as ‘bizarre’ and mentioned that, over time, she had to learn to ignore such invasions and live her life as she wished.
Sonakshi Sinha On ‘Bizarre’ Paparazzi Culture
In an interview with Times Now, Sonakshi called out the paparazzi culture of clicking pictures even at funerals. She said, “Look at what social media has become. Look at what the pap culture has become. You can’t even go to a funeral without being clicked. I found it very bizarre. Beyond a point you have to start ignoring these things and just live the way you want to live. But it did take a bit to get used to.”
Meanwhile, in the same interview, she also addressed her experience with body shaming in the film industry. Sonakshi revealed that she had no role model to guide her while she was growing up. She aimed to be a positive influence by promoting a healthy body image throughout her career. “It’s a vicious circle. I think I became that person. Because while growing I didn’t have any role model to look up to or somebody who tells me that’s its okay to be how you are. I wanted to be somebody who projected a very healthy body image and I have done so in my entire career. Realistic,” she said.

“With advice from our well-wishers in the fraternity, distributors, and exhibitors, we have collectively decided to push our release to the 18th of July so that we can reach a wider audience. Thank you for the immense love you have shown for the film so far but you’ll have to wait a little longer, and we promise you, 18th July will be worth the wait!
