Shoppers call this £19 perfume 'summer in a bottle' and say they'd 'buy it again'

There’s nothing quite like snapping up a new fragrance – especially when it has a discount. Right now, Amazon has dropped the price of a scent that’s winning over shoppers with nostalgic, holiday-ready notes.

Nivea’s Sun Eau De Toilette is currently on sale for £19.05 (was £28.50) for a 30ml bottle, saving fans £9.45. And customers are obsessed, calling it ‘summer in a bottle’ and promising they’d ‘buy it again.’

The scent is inspired by Nivea’s iconic sunscreen, designed to evoke memories of carefree beach holidays and the salty smell of the sea. It opens with fresh citrus and delicate florals, grounded by a warm, woody base and finished with a soft, airy freshness that lingers like a day in the sun.

Even the bottle brings sunshine vibes. It’s a smooth, rounded design with a glowing sunset-style gradient, making it look just as summery on the shelf as it smells on skin.

Of course, there are many more summer-ready perfumes available. For those who love holiday vibes, Maison Margiela’s Beach Walk is worth a look. Although pricier at £52.70, it’s a splurge-worthy scent that smells like coconut and citrus.

Otherwise, Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa 62 (£18) is a classic choice. With notes of pistachio and salted caramel, it’s inspired by the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

For those still convinced by Nivea’s Sun Eau de Toilette, it has had plenty of great reviews. This person said: “Absolutely love this and it’s just summer holidays in a bottle. It’s my everyday perfume now. It smells gorgeous and I get lots of compliments when I wear it! Total must for the summer.”

A second fan piped up: “I’m very fussy with scent, and many of them smell awful when applied to my skin. However, I went by the other reviews, and I’m so pleased that I did. It doesn’t smell quite as I expected, but I think it’s lovely.

“A very summery-but-not-flowery scent. Not too overpowering. But warm and subtle. I can see myself buying this again.”

However, not everyone was as impressed. This buyer noted: “I have to say I was excited at getting this perfume as I used to love the smell of Nivea oil when we went to the beach when I was a kid, but this did nothing for me at all.

“Maybe it just did not agree with my skin type, but I don’t like it, not even after letting it wear in a bit. It’s a shame, but I guess not every perfume suits every person.”

But a happy reviewer chimed in: “Love, love, love this. It smells like holidays. I highly recommend it. I don’t find the scent fades; I could still smell it at the end of the day.”
