A shocking incident has come to light from Balrampur district in Chhattisgarh. A teacher from a government school has been caught on camera behaving in an inappropriate manner. The headmaster, identified as Laxmi Narayan Singh, was posted at Pashupatipur Primary School which comes under the Wadrafnagar block.
In a video that is doing rounds on social media, the headmaster can be seen dancing inside a classroom. What has caused concern is that he is seen dancing with girl students and appears to be under the influence of alcohol. According to reports, he played music on his mobile phone and danced with the children during school hours.

The video was reportedly recorded by one of the school staff members. After it was shared on social media, it drew strong reactions and led to immediate action from the authorities.
Following the incident, some school children also came forward with complaints. They said the headmaster regularly comes to school after consuming alcohol. Students also shared that he often scolds them and even beats them without any proper reason. Some students claimed they had been beaten for no fault of theirs.
District Education Officer DN Mishra took quick action after the video surfaced. He also considered the complaints made by the students. Based on this, the headmaster was suspended with immediate effect. A report on the matter was also submitted by Wadrafnagar Block Education Officer Manish Kumar. The action was taken after the report was received. For now, the suspended headmaster has been attached to the DEO office in Balrampur.
Local MLA Shakuntala Porte also reacted to the matter. She expressed strong displeasure over the incident. The MLA has directed officials to take strict action. She has said that such teachers should not be allowed to stay in schools. She also said that such behaviour affects not only the education but also the safety of the children.
Last year in October, a similar case was reported from Bihar鈥檚 Saharsa district where teachers from Upkramit Mouni Higher Secondary School in Dabauli village were accused of consuming alcohol during a school trip. The incident took place when students were on an educational tour to the Bhimnagar Koshi Barrage.
Students shared details of the teachers鈥 behaviour when they returned from the trip. Following this, the Education Department issued show-cause notices to the teachers involved.
