Shilpa Shirodkar Calls Her Bigg Boss 18 Journey A ‘Life Changing Experience’

Shilpa Shirodkar gained widespread recognition after her stint in Salman Khan’s controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 18. Her journey inside the house for 103 days was no less than a roller-coaster ride with several emotional ups and downs. She built strong connections with fellow contestants like Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra and Chum Durang, that she continues to maintain even after coming out of the house.
Recently, during an interaction with actress Gauahar Khan, Shilpa reflected on her memorable experience in Bigg Boss 18 and shared that the journey changed her in ways she never expected. She said, “I didn’t win the trophy, but I believe the 103 days I spent in the Bigg Boss house were life-changing and the best experience I’ve ever had. I mean, if I ever get the chance in life again, I’d want to go back.”
Gauahar, on the other hand, looked surprised and added, “You’re one of the few people who say that, because most people say no. It happened once, and we’re never going back.” Replying to this, Shilpa stated, “Karan always said that this is your trial period, Bigg Boss. I kept explaining things to him. Now that you understand the game, please call him in the following season.”
Further, speaking about how the show had a positive impact on her life, Shilpa continued, “That house has taught me so much, and that journey will remain extremely close to my heart. Mainly because it allowed me to recognise that the person I am is the perfect person. I do not care what people think of me.”
Shilpa also revealed that she had always been a fan of the show. “I used to be the only person in the home watching Bigg Boss. I always told my husband that one day I’d go inside that house. When the call arrived, it was like magic,” she said.
Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 18, while Vivian D’Sena was the first Runner-Up.
Coming back to Shilpa, she has appeared in a number of films including Kishen Kanhaiya, Aankhen, Gopi Kishan, Khuda Gawah, Mrityudand and others. She decided to leave the film industry, following her marriage to Apresh Ranjit in 2000.
