Actor-model Shefali Jariwali, famously known as the Kaanta Laga Girl, passed away late Friday night, between June 27 and 28. Initial reports of her death claimed she died of cardiac arrest. However, Mumbai Police stated that her body was found in her apartment and that a post-mortem is underway. Hours after Shefali鈥檚 death, her husband, Parag Tyagi, was spotted in public for the first time, visibly distressed. Going by his last Instagram update, he was at the gym hours before his wife passed away.

Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband Parag Tyagi, and three close aides. Tragically, doctors declared her brought dead upon arrival. The exact reason of her death is not known yet. There have also been no official statements from the family or her representatives.
What did Shefali鈥檚 residential security say?
Shatrughan, the watchman of Shefali Jariwala鈥檚 residential society, recounted the events that unfolded on the night of her death. He shared that Shefali was taken to the hospital around 10:30 PM on Friday. Still in shock, he remembered seeing Shefali and her husband Parag Tyagi just the evening before, casually walking their dog in the compound. 鈥淚t was just like any other day,鈥 he said, adding, 鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 believe it when I heard on Friday night that she had passed away.鈥
Shatrughan, the security guard on duty, recounted the events of Friday night. While speaking with NDTV, he mentioned, 鈥淎round 10:30 at night, Shefali ji was taken to the hospital. Before that, at around 9 PM, her husband Parag Tyagi came to the society on a motorcycle. I was the one who opened the gate.鈥
Shortly after Shefali was taken to the hospital, police teams and forensic units arrived at the scene, said Shatrughan. 鈥淭he police have been inside since last night. There were two mobile forensic unit vehicles 鈥 one has left, one is still here,鈥 he added.
As for the latest update, police officials and forensic experts are still probing the case of her death. Her body was sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem on Friday night.
