Actress and model Shefali Jariwala, popularly known as the ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’, passed away on Friday at the age of 42. Several photos and videos from her last rites have been circulating on social media. In one of the videos, Parag Tyagi and Shefali’s mother were seen getting emotional upon seeing her mortal remains for the last time. After the cremation, Shefali’s husband, actor Parag Tyagi, accompanied her body to the hospital and has since been actively involved in the investigation and funeral arrangements. Her last rites were performed on June 28 at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. Parag, visibly heartbroken, addressed the media and said, “Please mazak, drama mat banaiyega. Main ab sabse request karta hoon, please meri pari ke liye sab pray kariyega” (Please don’t turn this into drama. I request everyone to kindly pray for my fairy). The panditji who performed the final rites also appeared shaken and heartbroken. Speaking to the media, he said, “Woh sab bahut toote hue hain…” (They are all deeply shattered). He added that a puja for Shefali’s soul would be held on Sunday. Following the news of Shefali Jariwala’s death, her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestants Mahira Sharma, Arti Singh, Paras Chhabra, and Rashami Desai visited the crematorium to offer their condolences to the family. Actor Shehnaaz Gill, who also appeared with Shefali on Bigg Boss 13, was present at the cremation. Singer Mika Singh also attended the last rites.
