Sainsbury鈥檚 has recalled two popular drinks from its shelves due to fears that the product could pose safety risks to consumers. The recall comes after two drinks brands alerted Sainsbury鈥檚 that they were recalling items from the shop鈥檚 shelves, MyLondon reports . Among the recalled items is Heineken鈥檚 550ml Newcastle Brown Ale due to fears that the bottles may contain fragments of glass. Affected products have a best before date of 30 November 2025 and the SKU code and batch numbers for affected bottles can be found on Sainsbury鈥檚 website. Shoppers who have bought affected products from Sainsbury鈥檚 are being urged to not consume the product and to instead return the product unopened to their local Sainsbury鈥檚 store to receive a full refund. No other Heineken products have been affected by the issue. Heineken has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the recall. Following this, Sainsbury鈥檚 has also been alerted to a second recall for a drink sold in their stores. Appletiser have recalled packs of their 6x250ml cans due to concerns that they may contain an elevated level of chlorate. Customers are being urged to not consume any of the drinks in these packs and to instead return them to their nearest Sainsbury鈥檚 store for a full refund. Affected products have a best before date of 30 November 2025 and 31 December 2025.The SKU code and batch numbers for affected packs can be found on Sainsbury鈥檚 website. No other Appletiser products have been affected by the issue. Appletiser has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the recall.
