Moscow, June 26 (QNA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that its air defense systems shot down 50 Ukrainian drones overnight over several regions of the country.
The Ministry said in a statement that last night, active air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 50 Ukrainian drones.
The statement added that 23 of them were destroyed over the territory of Kursk Oblast, 11 over Rostov Oblast, six over Bryansk Oblast, three over Belgorod Oblast, and three over Moscow Oblast. Additionally, two drones were destroyed over Crimea and one drone each over the territories of the Republic of Mordovia and Kaluga Oblast.
Russia and Ukraine have exchanged almost daily reports confirming that each side has repelled attacks from the other side, without verifying this data from an independent source due to the ongoing war since Feb. 24, 2022.
