RSPCA PNG undergo four-day training on effective communication

Five staff from Five staff from RSPCA PNG attended a four-day training for effective communication in the workplace which is offered by Wings Education.

Wings Education is the only Non-profit community organisation protecting the welfare of animals in PNG believed in maintaining excellent customer service among one of their many targets of RSPCA PNG.

RSPCA PNG offers a wide range of services focused on improving animal welfare which includes operating a veterinary clinic, providing adoption and foster programs for unwanted animals, conducting community education on animal care and welfare, and participating in humane animal population management initiatives.

It also investigate and prosecute cases of animal cruelty, therefore, the need to elevate the NGO’s communication skills to better address the needs of clients has become a top priority of the facility under the leadership of Jason Gilal, RSPCA PNG’s new General Manager.

The training offered by wings education covered topics ranging from clarity and conciseness, active listening, respect, and empathy, choosing the right method of communication for the situation and audience, feedback, nonverbal communication, two-way communication and other effective communication in the workplace components.

The staff are thankful for the training as they said that it has helped them to be better communicators and team player in the workplace as it has helped them improved in some areas where they are lacking.

RSPCA is thankful to Wings Education for this human capacity building program as it will help boost employee engagement, improving teamwork, enhancing productivity, and fostering a positive work environment. The training will also help reduce conflicts, clarifies expectations, and strengthens relationships, ultimately contributing to the overall success of RSPCA PNG whilst creating a more efficient and harmonious workplace.
