A Kilmarnock gym and spa staged a hugely successful re-opening day after extensive works were carried out to make the business bigger and better than before. The team at Revitalize Fitness & Spa, worked 鈥榯irelessly鈥 on improving facilities – and they were rewarded with 200 more members signing up on their big day. The business, which is based at Rowallan Business Park is owned by Steven Freeburn, Kriss Steven and Raj Singh. The offer a range of fitness classes for all ages and abilities as well as spa facilities. And the hard work and effort has all been worth it, says general manager Chelcie MacDonald. Speaking to the Standard, she said: 鈥淚t was a busy time getting everythign up and running but we鈥檙e so grateful to everyone who made the event a big success. We had around 350 people coming in and 200 new members sign up on the day which is amazing. 鈥淲e had The Bunker before and knew there would be a bit of interest through that, but it was such a busy day. We never expected quite how busy it would be, though.鈥 She added: 鈥淲e were The Bunker previously but it was a really small facility, although we had a great community of people. It was just time to push the boat out a wee bit and do more and we鈥檙e delighted with the journey so far. 鈥淭here was a lot of hard work but we worked alongside East Ayrshire Council to make sure everything was right and we really appreciated their input and having that relationship working with them to make the business the best it could be. “The group worked tirelessly to get it all in place and we’re just delighted with how it turned out and the community feedback.” Revitalize have a brand new spa facility with jacuzzi and steam room alongside their studio space that hosts 20 classes per week.
