A councillor has renewed calls for average speed cameras along a “dangerous stretch” of road after ten people were injured, with one left fighting for life, in a crash. A minibus and car collided at the junction of Stratford Road and Fox Hollies Road, near the Bulls Head pub, at 11.55pm yesterday, Wednesday, July 2. West Midlands Ambulance Service sent six ambulances and treated ten injured males. She said: “Another serious accident on Stratford Road! “I鈥檓 deeply concerned to report yet another serious accident on Stratford Road in Hall Green North. “My thoughts are with everyone affected. “This latest incident is a stark and painful reminder of the dangers that persist on this busy stretch of road and it reaffirms exactly why I鈥檝e been campaigning for average speed cameras to be installed here. “Residents have told me time and again how unsafe Stratford Road feels, with speeding vehicles putting lives at risk every single day. Enough is enough.
