The first glimpse of Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana Part 1 was unveiled on July 3. The 3-minute glimpse introduced viewers to the timeless saga, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in lead roles. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film’s introduction was screened across 9 Indian cities. Interestingly, it had an amazing billboard takeover at Times Square in New York. Set to be released in two parts, Ramayana is said to be one of the most expensive films of Indian cinema. Story Set in a timeless era governed by the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, the film revolves around the story of Lord Ram and Ravana. When Ravana rises to destroy universal balance, Vishnu ascends on Earth as Lord Ram to restore the harmony. The makers have described Ramayana as ‘a story of cosmic war, timeless destiny, and the triumph of good — still shaping the spirit of a billion people today.’ Music and Visuals Guess which musicians have worked on Ramayana Part 1? Well, Oscar winning legends AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer have come together to create magic together with their music. Stunts Hollywood’s top stunt directors Terry Notary and Guy Norris are on board to choreograph the epic and intense battles between gods and demons. Terry is known for working on projects like Avengers and Planet of the Apes. As for Guy, he has worked on Mad Max: Fury Road and Furiosa. Release date Ramayana Part 1 has been scheduled for a theatrical release on Diwali 2026. What Nitesh Tiwari has to say about Ramayana Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari opened up about his upcoming directorial, Ramayana. In an official statement, he said, “Ramayana is a story we’ve all grown up with. It carries the soul of our culture.
