Awal Alhassan, popularly known in Ghana鈥檚 entertainment circles as Possigee, has denied claims by Hiplife legend Obrafour that he is chasing clout.
A recent disagreement erupted between the two over songwriting credits on Sarkodie鈥檚 song Hope, which features Obrafour.
The tension began after Possigee shared a video discussing songwriting in the music industry, prompting Obrafour to comment under the post, accusing him of seeking attention.
But in an interview with Amansan Krakye, Possigee responded:
鈥淢ost people didn鈥檛 agree with Obrafour when he commented that I鈥檓 chasing clout, because I don鈥檛 even put my name on most of the songs I鈥檝e produced.
鈥淚鈥檓 not a clout chaser. In fact, most of the places where people dance to my productions, I don鈥檛 even go there for people to see me.鈥
Possigee further explained that even when Sarkodie invites him out, he often declines to avoid public attention.
鈥淪ometimes, Sarkodie invites me out, but I choose not to go because I don鈥檛 want to be in the media space all the time.
鈥淚f I were chasing clout, my face would have been in almost every picture with the countless artists I鈥檝e worked with over the past 20 years.鈥
He concluded by suggesting that Obrafour may not truly know him:鈥淐lout chasing was one of the things Obrafour accused me of. That鈥檚 what made me realise he might not know me well after all.鈥
