The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education has finalised the e-Admission modalities and preparedness for the session 2025-26 under Project SAMS for the students who will take admissions in various Plus 2 colleges across Odisha.
As per the instructions issued each Higher Secondary School will allot a batch of 15 candidates per hour per stream for admissions.
The admission process is scheduled from 900 AM to 500 PM each day with a lunch break from 100 PM to 200 PM. The last hour from 400 PM to 500 PM will be reserved for candidates who could not report at their scheduled time as mentioned in their intimation letters.
If any Higher Secondary School HSS updates a candidates admission status without possessing the original documents or the candidates consent and the same candidate reports to another higher secondary school for admission the admission team at the second HSS will verify that the admission status has already been updated at another HSS.
In such a case the candidate will be asked to submit a self-declaration along with photo identity proof at the second HSS to prove their identity. The second HSS will then collect the original documents and upload them to the SAMS portal to cancel the previous admission.
Instructions For Students
For candidates from other boards if they fail to submit the original or DigiLocker downloaded Migration Certificate at the time of admission due to a genuine reason they may be allowed to proceed with a self-attested undertaking.
This undertaking must state that the candidate will submit the migration certificate within 30 days from the date of admission. If the candidate fails to do so their admission will be cancelled at the Higher Secondary School HSS.
The HSS should collect the self-attested undertaking and ensure that the DHSE O is informed of the admission cancellation if the candidate fails to submit the migration certificate within the stipulated date and time.
In the event of a slide-up the source Higher Secondary School HSS shall Notify the student regarding the slide-up and advise the student to secure admission in the destination HSS. The source HSS shall ensure timely communication with the student to facilitate a smooth transition.
