Performing arts students get ready for creepy, kooky Addams Family show in Wolverhampton

The talented students, who are studying for University of the Arts London diplomas and extended diplomas in performing arts, will be appearing in an adaptation of The Addams Family at the college鈥檚 Paget Road campus from tomorrow (Wednesday, June 25) until Friday.

The dark comedy centres on an eccentric family which finds joy in all things creepy and features well-known characters like elegant Morticia Addams, mischievous Wednesday, oddball Uncle Fester and butler Lurch.

The show forms part of the students’ final course project and they have been working on the production since the start of the summer term analysing scripts, creating scenes and musical numbers, designing the set and sourcing costumes, as well as working with students studying for qualifications in music technology on technical aspects of the production.

Performances on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday start at 7.30pm and tickets priced at 拢8 (or 拢6.50 for concessions) are available to purchase on the door or by contacting gavinr@wolvcoll.ac.uk.
