More than 拢1million has been won in the People’s Postcode Lottery over the last seven days – with more than 拢1m being handed out in prizes this week. Draws are announced every single day for the Postcode Lottery, which is played by thousands of people all over the UK. To take part in the Postcode Lottery daily draws, players must sign up their postcode and pay 拢12.25 a month to take part. The People’s Postcode Lottery has raised more than 拢1billion for charities across the UK since the organisation was founded in 2005, as 33 per cent of every ticket purchased goes to charity. Among the winners this week were Tim and Rebecca Seaton who won a whopping 拢250,000. Rebecca went straight onto a flight app to book a holiday to Spain as she watched husband Tim being presented with his cheque. As the mum-of-two dashed across the back garden to show Tim her purchase, he said: “A nice holiday would be good. We’ll go to Tenerife and maybe go up a few stars on the hotel.” He added: “I’m dumbstruck. This is far more than I expected. I signed up for the charities… and maybe to win some money. You feel better knowing you do a bit for charity, although there is a chance of winning. This is the proof.” Tim and two other neighbours celebrated after ST4 8BN in Trentham was announced as the winner of one of People Postcode Lottery’s newest prizes. Every player in the winning postcode bags 拢250,000 for each ticket they have. Retired joiner Tim choked back tears when he saw his winnings – then revealed he’s only been playing Postcode Lottery for seven months. He said: “I’ve only been playing for a short time – since November last year. I’ve already won 拢12, but this is amazing. I’m over the moon.” Tim now wants to downsize from his sprawling detached villa to a bungalow – and is currently thinking about his dream car. He said: “I’d like to get a bungalow before we need a bungalow, if you know what I mean. I’d like to invest in that for the future. “I’ve also had Capris, and I want another one. I鈥檝e loved Capris since I got my first one. It was just beautiful. I got it in 1980, and it was a ’73. It’s not the best car in the world, but it鈥檚 beautiful and the most sexy.” He added, as Rebecca shouted ‘no’ to him from the back door: “Except my wife doesn’t seem to like them. I just got rid of a 1986 Ford Capri, but I鈥檝e always wanted a Mark 1. You’d probably pay about 拢20,000 for a 1972 or something like that.” Here are all the winning postcodes for the past seven dates, from Saturday, June 28, to Friday, July 4.
