Pedestrian bridge: Woman remanded for resisting arrest, assaulting officials in Lagos

A female pedestrian, Chidinma Obishe, has been remanded in a correctional facility by a Magistrate鈥檚 Court in Bolade, Lagos for allegedly resisting arrest and assaulting Lagos State Task Force officials in Ojota area of the state.

Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this in an X post on Wednesday.

Footage of Obishe having a heated argument with task force officials circulated on social media on Wednesday.

Wahab claimed that Obishe resisted arrest when she was apprehended for not using the pedestrian bridge at Ojota.

鈥淪he violently attacked some of our personnel.

鈥淭he Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade has remanded her in prison till 8 July, 2025 when her case will be heard,鈥 the commissioner stated.
