Adoption is one of the most beautiful things in the world, and witnessing it unfold is nothing short of magical. In a heart-melting video that is going viral on social media, parents can be seen in tears as they meet their adopted baby for the first time. The video was posted on Instagram by a user identified as Victoria Lawson. The caption reads: “We got a call about a one-day-old baby girl in the NICU. We had 30 minutes to say yes, and we did. We went to bed thinking they鈥檇 probably choose someone else. The next morning, we woke up to a phone call: They chose us. An hour later, we were packed and on our way to the airport. After a 10-hour travel day, we made it. We were about to meet our daughter. Meet Haven Nevaeh Lawson.” The caption further read, ”We named her Haven because that鈥檚 our prayer, that her life would be filled with safety, peace, and protection. That she鈥檇 always know she can find security not just in our arms, but in the arms of God. Her middle name, Nevaeh, was the name her birth mama gave her. We kept it to honor her bravery and the beautiful decision she made to choose life. Nevaeh is 鈥渉eaven鈥 spelled backward. So her full name carries this hope: Safe in God鈥檚 presence, forever. We鈥檝e spent the last 9 days by her side in the NICU. It鈥檚 been hard, physically and emotionally, but even in the middle of the unknown, we鈥檝e seen God鈥檚 hand, His timing, and His kindness.” In the clip, doctors are seen handing over the newborn baby girl to the parents, who are immediately overcome with emotion and brought to tears. The video has garnered emotional reactions across the internet, amassing nearly 164 million views, 10 million likes, and over 88,000 comments.
