Parag Tyagi Addresses Shefali Jariwala's Death For FIRST Time: 'Meri Pari Ke Liye Pray Kijiye' | Video

Shefali Jariwala鈥檚 husband, Parag Tyagi, has finally addressed the media after the actress鈥檚 death, and has requested all to pray for his 鈥渁ngel鈥. Shefali Jariwala passed away in Mumbai. Shefali suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital in the hours between June 27 and June 28. However, she was declared dead on arrival. Her last rites were held on Saturday, June 28.
After Shefali鈥檚 funeral, a devastated Parag appeared in front of the media and requested privacy with folded hands. He also said, 鈥淢eri pari ke liye pray kijiyega aap sab log, please.鈥 Parag was surrounded by police personnel while he urged the media to pray for Shefali鈥檚 soul to rest in peace.

Earlier today, a pap video featured Parag giving his late wife a final kiss before bidding her goodbye forever. The frame also showed Shefali鈥檚 grieving mother beside her mortal remains, overwhelmed with emotion. However, while many names from the entertainment world attended the last rites, Shefali鈥檚 ex-husband, Harmeet Singh, was absent from the ceremony.
Harmeet Singh later revealed that he is currently in Europe, hence he couldn鈥檛 attend Shefali Jariwala鈥榮 funeral. He wrote on Instagram, 鈥淏eing away in Europe right now, it鈥檚 painful for me not to be able to be there for the last rites.鈥 Harmeet sent his condolences to Shefali鈥檚 parents, sister and husband Parag Tyagi. He added, 鈥淕one far too soon. I pray to the Almighty for her soul to rest in peace, and strength to the family during this unimaginable time.鈥
As for Shefali鈥檚 tragic demise, preliminary reports suggest that Shefali suffered a sudden cardiac arrest late Friday night, sometime between June 27 and 28. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by Parag and three others. Tragically, doctors declared her dead on arrival. While the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed, cardiac arrest is being cited as the leading reason.
Shefali became a national sensation in the early 2000s with her breakout appearance in the remix music video Kaanta Laga, which turned her into an overnight icon. Her bold and glamorous style was emblematic of the remix era, and she quickly earned the title of 鈥淜aanta Laga Girl.鈥 She also made a brief appearance in the 2004 Bollywood film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, sharing screen space with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. In later years, Shefali found renewed popularity through television, first appearing in Nach Baliye alongside her husband Parag Tyagi, and later, as a strong contestant on Bigg Boss 13.
