Oasis fans have started to set up camp ahead of the first band’s first reunion gig this week. Liam and Noel Gallagher are reuniting for the first time in 16 years and will kick off their Live ‘25 tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in on Friday night (July 4), with a second show the day after. The brothers from Burnage will play Manchester’s Heaton Park next week. Jas Griffin-Jones from Liverpool was first in the queue ahead of the first reunion gig in Wales tomorrow night (July 4). French sister and brother, Anne and Pierre from Brittany, were also sat in the queue well over 24 hours before the concert at the Principality Stadium. The Cardiff shows will mark the first two gigs on the huge 41-date tour. Following this weekend’s shows, the band will head to Heaton Park for five big homecoming shows between July 11 and 20. The tour will also include stops in Edinburgh and London’s Wembley Stadium, as well as a big string of international dates in North America, Australia and Asia. A huge Oasis drone show lit up the skies above the Principality Stadium on Wednesday night (July 2) to officially mark their arrival in the Welsh capital. The one-off spectacle, which took place around 11pm, saw drones gather to form the shape of the iconic Oasis logo, which has been featured across album covers, t-shirts and other merchandise since the band first emerged onto the scene in 1994. A small number of fans gathered outside the stadium to catch a glimpse of the stunning display, before the drones dispensed. The stadium is also home to the official tour merch stands, which also opened on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s first show. The tour merch includes posters and t-shirts with the tour dates and locations on, as well as an official tour programme which features new comments from Noel about his thoughts on Oasis. The programme has also confirmed the official line-up for the band during the tour, which will include some returning Oasis favourites and some new additions to the group. The programme, which is priced at £20, features a host of photos of the band throughout their career as well as some new pictures taken during rehearsals. The book also includes credits of the personnel of the tour, including those all-important band members. Joining Liam and Noel on stage will be guitarist Paul Arthurs, better known to fans as Bonehead. Part of the band from its inception until he departed in 1999, he is one of the original members with the Gallagher’s and was at the top of the list for many fans. After Oasis, Bonehead later toured with Liam Gallagher, including his tour last year to celebrate Definitely Maybe’s 30th anniversary. Also joining is bassist Andy Bell. The Welsh musician, who is also part of rock band Ride, performed with Oasis for ten years between 1999 and 2009. He was also part of Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye side-project between 2009 and 2014. Gem Archer, who joined Oasis in 1999 as their second guitarist, will also be part of the band. He worked with Oasis until they split in 2009 and also worked with Liam Gallagher on Beady Eye until 2014. New to Oasis will be Joey Waronker on drums. But he has history with Liam Gallagher, having worked on his 2024 album with John Squire. He’s also toured the world with the likes of R.E.M and Roger Waters, so he’s well adapted for the stage.
