Nissan will shut down its main Oppama factory in Japan to reduce expenses. Production will shift to Nissan Motor Kyushu by March 2028. The Oppama plant, a symbol for Nissan, once produced the Leaf electric car. CEO Ivan Espinosa assures fair treatment for the 2,400 employees.
