3 thousand rupees pass from 15th August
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had recently announced a new scheme regarding toll. He had announced a fastag based annual toll pass scheme. This scheme will start from 15th August. This pass is worth 3000 rupees and 200 journeys can be made. This scheme will be valid only at NHAI and NE toll plazas for now. This pass will not work at toll booths under state highways.
Nitin Gadkari said, this policy addresses the long-standing concerns about toll plazas located within a 60 km radius and simplifies toll payment through a single, affordable transaction. The minister said, this annual pass aims to provide a faster and smoother travel experience to lakhs of private vehicle owners by reducing waiting time, congestion and minimising disputes at toll plazas.
