Neverness to Everness releases a new opening animation ahead of its closed beta test

New opening animation revealed
CBT to take place between July 3rd and 16th
PC players can test out several core mechanics

Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio have dropped the opening animation for Neverness to Everness, giving a striking prelude to the supernatural chaos that awaits in their upcoming urban open-world RPG. Titled Hypervortex Before the Storm, the trailer sets the tone for the Containment Test, the game’s closed beta phase, which will run from July 3rd to 16th exclusively on PC.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, Neverness to Everness throws you into the surreal city of Hethereau, where skateboard-riding anomalies and Esper-fuelled powers collide in a setting that’s equal parts nightmarish and stylish.

The world is packed with high-speed driving, fully destructible crashes, and a deep slate of lifestyle mechanics, letting you furnish homes, decorate interiors, and live a dual life between chaotic missions. While you wait for NTE to release, be sure to check out this list of the best RPGs to play on Android right now!

The beta itself will let you get hands-on with core systems like vehicle traversal, Esper Abilities, and the interplay between supernatural events and grounded daily life. Language support includes English, Japanese, and Chinese voice-overs, with more text languages available, but console and mobile players will unfortunately need to wait a bit longer, and full release is still TBA.

With other games like Ananta launching into the same niche, Neverness to Everness is set to enter a fiercely competitive field. But if Hotta Studio’s previous success with Tower of Fantasy is any indication, they’re aiming to do more than just ride the trend. The aesthetic edge, coupled with unusual mechanics like drivable cars, could help it stand out in the genre’s packed skyline.

We should have more clarity about Neverness to Everness’s iOS and Android releases soon. Until then, you can visit the official website for more information. Follow the X page to stay up to date on the latest developments.
