Nearly half of class VI students struggle with reading; 63% of class IX fail basic math: Govt survey reveals

The Ministry of Education’s PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan revealed significant learning gaps among Indian students. About 43% of Class VI students struggle to grasp main ideas in texts, while 63% of Class IX students have difficulty recognizing basic numerical patterns and concepts like fractions and integers.
