A vibrant fusion of music, movement and imagination will take centre stage in Javea on Thursday, 10 July at 9:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Iglesia, as the Ensemble Nacional M煤sax brings its unique performance to the M煤sica a l鈥橢stiu festival. Formed by nine saxophonists and a flamenco dancer, all women and professional artists from across Spain, M煤sax is more than an ensemble鈥攊t鈥檚 a powerful artistic statement. Their name, a combination of m煤sica, musas (muses), and saxofonistas, reflects the essence of their project: an evocative blend of melody, rhythm and expressive power led by female voices and bodies.
鈥淲e are a group of saxophonists and a bailaora from different parts of Spain,鈥 they explain. 鈥淥ur concerts bring together music of diverse styles, interpreted with the aim of communicating and stirring emotion鈥攖hrough all the creative tools that an open stage allows: dance, visual arts through projections, storytelling, and of course, music.鈥

A fitting finale to a week of vibrant and diverse music
The festival will then come to a close on Friday, 11 July at 9:00 p.m., also in the Plaza de la Iglesia, with a double concert. The evening will begin with a saxophone quartet led by David Castell贸, professor at the local conservatory, followed by a percussion quartet made up of former students from the same institution. A fitting finale to a week of vibrant and diverse music, the closing night will highlight the depth of local talent and the importance of musical education in the community.
