Meta Hires 3 OpenAI Researchers Amidst Poaching Claims By Sam Altman

Meta, amidst all the open claims of poaching made by Sam Altman, has hired three OpenAI researchers for their Supperintelligence team according to a report published by The Wall Street Journal a day ago. What’s more, is that an OpenAI spokesperson has also confirmed the same but said no to providing any further details related to the same. The same report has mentioned that MEta has recruited Alexander Kolesnikov, Xiaohua Zhai, and Lucas Bayer. All of the listed employees were located at the Zurich office of Open AI. Moving forward, let’s have a look at the aftermath of the scenario followed by how things will open up in the future for Meta AI. Zuckerberg vs Altman Rivalry Is Cooking Up Mark Zuckerberg has been on the nerves of Sam Altman’s OpenAI since the beginning as all of them are running in the same race. On one hand, Sam Altman is open to accusing Meta of poaching, on the other hand, Zuckerberg is not even shying away from getting people from the OpenAI board. As for the Superintelligence team, it is a form of AI that can outperform humans in all tasks. As of now, most of the AI systems have reached the artificial general intelligence (AGI) level. For this one, Zuckerberg is personally hiring individuals who are masters of the domain. One thing which is sure as of now is that the rivalry between the two is going to heat up in the future. Sam Altman has also claimed that Meta has offered some OpenAI employees a bonus of up to $100 million. On a concluding note, it will be more than interesting to see what Zuckerberg is building once it comes to fruition.
