Matthew Burnell joins American Investment Services as a wealth manager

GREAT BARRINGTON 鈥 American Investment Services has announced that Matthew Burnell, certified financial planner, has joined the firm as a wealth manager.

Burnell brings a strong background in comprehensive financial planning and tax-focused strategies, strengthening the company’s mission to provide objective, research-driven advice to clients.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a minor in finance from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and an MBA with a concentration in taxation from the Massry School of Business at SUNY Albany. He also earned the prestigious certified financial planner designation, underscoring his commitment to fiduciary standards and client-first financial guidance.

Before joining AIS, Burnell served as a financial analyst and senior financial planner at AYCO, a Goldman Sachs Company. In that role, he provided sophisticated financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals and executives of Fortune 500 companies. He also gained valuable experience at a regional CPA firm in New York鈥檚 Capital District, where he advised both individuals and business owners in dual roles as a financial adviser and tax accountant.
