Man found guilty of killing his ex-wife “at son’s grave” : Know More Here

A guy has confessed to killing his 71-year-old ex-wife, who was discovered dead and damaged in a graveyard.

It was reported that on what would have been the teen’s birthday, Martin Suter, 68, killed Ann Blackwood near their son’s grave.

Soon after police were notified at 15:45 BST on July 24, 2023, she was declared dead at Crofton Cemetery in Stubbington, Hampshire.

Suter will be sentenced on October 3rd after entering a guilty plea on the first day of his trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.

Despite receiving immediate medical attention, Ms. Blackwood of Lee-on-the-Solent passed away shortly after.

In a another case, Suter, who was also from Lee-on-the-Solent, was charged with six more counts of indecently abusing a girl who was younger than 14.

After a trial at Bolton Crown Court, he entered a guilty plea to one offense and was found not guilty of the others.

A judge at Portsmouth Crown Court has revoked a court order that prohibited the reporting of the May murder plea.

In a previous statement, Ms Blackwood’s family said: “Her daughter, brothers, their families and all her friends are absolutely devastated by the loss.

“A loving, caring, kind-hearted mother and friend who was very popular in her local community, she was enjoying her retirement with an active lifestyle which included tennis, sailing, cycling and music.”
