Costa Rica pioneered sustainable travel several decades ago and now some of its Central America neighbors are gaining recognition as well. For those looking to explore ecotourism in the region, the Cayuga Collection (which got its start in Costa Rica) now has sustainable luxury properties in Guatemala, Panama and Nicaragua. “Big hotel groups often won’t touch places with such a strong sustainability focus,” Cayuga鈥檚 cofounder, Hans Pfister, tells Forbes.com. “There’s a lot of hard work and effort that goes into keeping these places truly sustainable, and that goes beyond just talking about sustainability but bringing it to life.”

In late 2026, Crescent Seas is launching its first “luxury condo at sea鈥濃攖he Seven Seas Navigator鈥攚ith 210 cabins, starting at $1.25 million for a 371-foot studio. The other units are all suites, with 12 different designs, which will be priced between $5 million and $8.5 million.

These Soda-Inspired Suites Have Some Nostalgic Fizz
Would you have sweeter dreams in a suite inspired by a favorite soft drink? Olipop, the prebiotic soda company, recently unveiled the Olipop Time Travel Agency in partnership with Bunkhouse Hotels. The brands transformed an Austin, Texas property into retro suites inspired by Olipop鈥檚 bestselling flavors. Among the suites in the Austin Motel promotion (applications run through July 8) are the 1986 Cream Soda Suite, featuring a vibrant blue color palette; the 1995 Strawberry Vanilla Suite, a pink paradise with lava lamps and boy band posters; and the 2002 Cherry Cola Suite with bedazzled walls and bright red furnishings.
